Matteo is a physicist with more than 5 years of experience in the field of quantum technologies. His research interests range from quantum computing to quantum metrology and the analysis of complex quantum systems. He has recently been exploring the use of NISQ devices for research and applications.
Since 2017 he is a postdoctoral researcher of the Turku Collegium for Science and Medicine at the University of Turku, Finland. He obtained a PhD in Physics from the University of Milano (2017), with a thesis on the effects of noise on qubits, and a MSc and BS from the University of Parma, Italy (2014). He has published more than 20 research articles in quantum information.
Since he was a kid he has been passionate about computers and programming, and he has vast experience in high-performance computing, as well as in machine learning and in cloud services.
In his free time he loves hiking, photographing and playing the guitar.
